Why?
Have you ever been dinged by parking enforcement and had to pay the outrageous fines mandated by Vancouver or Richmond city councils?
Do you worry that your motorcycle will be ticketed and towed? Do you fret your bike will be damaged en route or while in the tow yard? Does this feel right to you, or do you feel we as do, that we can and should do better?
Get involved!
Vancouver City is looking for green transport, and motorcycles are the greenest, most efficient and most enjoyable motorized urban transport available today.
Get involved and help Vancouver to see that motorcycles are the answer to congestion and pollution.
It's up to the motorcycle community to enable our politicians to see this.
Green transportation is not a single solution, rather it has to be a multi-faceted approach. Motorcycles and scooters are not for everyone, just as bicycles are not either. However, they offer a low impact, low cost, low resource, lower pollution, less energy consuming and FUN way of getting around. They represent an essential part of any city's transportation and they've been neglected for way too long in Vancouver.
Look through the examples on this website to see what's getting in the way of 2-wheel commuting and see what's working. Send us your pictures and ideas and we'll post 'em.

Lend us a hand. In 2009 there were 40 on-street (metered) spaces for motorcycles. By 2012, thanks to City Engineering, City Council and most importantly YOU, there were approximately 300 spaces (each accommodating 3 to 6 motorcycles). So in a period of just 3 years we've been able to increase on-street parking availability by 4400 per cent! We are not stopping.
Every day more and more riders are coming forward to lend their support. There needs to be more parking and it needs to be priced right!
